Positioned on the ridge that separates the Fumane valley from the Marano valley, the vineyards of the Montecariano winery extend over the hilly slopes to the south, where the land is of friable limestone and Quaternary flooding, with many organic components and macroelements. These conditions are excellent for growing grapes which, thanks to the mild climate, ripen in September. The typical landscape of Valpolicella surrounds the vines, which develop in a land that still has the original flora of olive trees, cypresses, cherry trees and large oaks, typical of sunny places that are protected from the wind.
