In the rarefied atmosphere of Bologna, full of inspiration and culture, the year 1947 saw the birth of Salumificio Raimondi, a small, multi-product manufacturer using traditional methods. Time strengthened its character: in 1965 the company moved to Zola Predosa, where its headquarters are still situated today. It was here that, in the Seventies, it decided to turn exclusively to production of “Felsineo” mortadella, whose name comes from “Felsina”, the name given to Bologna during the Etruscan age. This resulted in a new business, which is now led by the third generation of its founding family. In 1991 Felsineo became a leader in the mortadella market, in the large-scale retailing channel.
